We
didn't plan to keep any more males but Crystal had her own plans when she whelped 7 puppies on September 14th (2006) with 4 beautiful males. Calvin caught my eye from the get-go!
Calvin captured my eye and my heart from the time he was a
puppy. He has a solid temperament and a very happy & regal
persona! Calvin was the first from the litter that we
campaigned and what a wonderful time we had!
He has been shown since he was 6 months old and from the first time he entered the ring he owned it! He enters the ring with confidence and is one of those dogs that demands the attention of the judge as he sets himself up and confidently wags his tail! From the minute he steps into the ring his happy, outgoing yet well-behaved manner makes him stand out in the crowd. He picked up his first major and most of his single points from the puppy classes. By the time he was a year old he had 10 points including one major and several major reserves and lots of wonderful memories! One of his most exciting major reserves was a 4 point major reserve at the Central Jersey Collie Club in May 2007 under Judge Judith Park. Calvin was 8 months old and it was only his third time being shown. He finished at just over one year old. Please visit our Show News page to see more of his wins and achievements!
In October 2007 Calvin went WD/BW at the South Jersey Collie Club Specialty for his 2nd major (4 points). He finished less than 2 weeks later in Bloomsburg, PA under Doris Miller. Along the way he captured the eye of many judges who gave us very positive feedback and I thank all the judges who recognized his virtues and all the friends and supporters who were there for us. Calvin is a sound dog, with a good skull, sweet expression and even for a youngster - a wonderful coat. He has an out-going but very sweet temperament. He appeals to the breed judges as well as the all-arounders. We strongly feel the BEST is yet to come for Calvin and invite serious inquiries for co-ownership.

Calvin is less than 2 years old (born September 14, 2006). He is the first of his littermates to become a champion. Four others are pointed, including Avery, who lives in Canada who in May 2007 went Reserve Winner's Bitch at the Collie Club of Canada Regional Specialty and Best Puppy in Breed. She also has several Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Breed awards as well. See our Show News page to see more of her wins and achievements! Giorgio is co-owned with Michele and Doug Capeci. He was shown once in Canada and went Breed. Enroute to the 2008 national, he stopped in St Louis for one show and went WD/BW/BOV. Right now he is sitting at home maturing a bit and putting on coat. He will be out at shows soon. Angel, owned by Janice Marcinak is pointed and being actively campaigned. Armani picked up a Reserve Winner's Dog the first show he was at, and day 2 (his second show) got his first point going WD/BW/BOV! This has been a FUN and amazing litter out of Crystal. The sire of this litter CH Vennessee's Summer Wind is a GROUP ONE placing dog. He was Reserve Winner's Dog (from the 6-9 month old puppy class) at the 2003 CCA National in MN.
